TORRANCE – Alwyn Saddler IV scored 19 points to lead Rio Hondo College in a 91-67 South Coast Conference interdivision loss at El Camino College on Friday night.
Saddler poured in double-digit points for the third straight game. He added 4 rebounds and a pair of steals.
Rio Hondo got out to a 27-21 lead midway through the first half before El Camino rallied with 19-3 run go back out in front for good. The Roadrunners trailed 48-34 at halftime.
Sharodd Lewis totaled 13 points and a team-high 6 rebounds, Myles Jones added 11 points, and Axel Perez contributed 9 points.
Rio Hondo dropped to 4-15 overall. The Roadrunners return to action next Friday (Jan. 20) when they open South Coast Conference North Division play at East Los Angeles. Opening tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
