WHITTIER – The Rio Hondo College men's soccer team suffered a narrow 1-0 South Coast Conference loss to visiting Mt. San Antonio College on Friday. The Roadrunners dropped to 2-9-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the SCC.
Mt. SAC scored what proved to be the game's lone goal in the 44th minute. Rio Hondo was limited on its scoring chances and had just three shots in the contest.
Damien Porter put together a solid effort in goal for the Roadrunners. He totaled six saves while allowing just the one goal.
Rio Hondo is back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 15) when the Roadrunners travel to nearby Cerritos College for a 1:30 p.m. conference game.
