COMPTON – Rebecca Tarango totaled 11 kills and 9 digs to help lead the Rio Hondo College women's volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-19, 25-9 sweep at Compton College on Wednesday night.
The South Coast Conference win improved the Roadrunners to 3-14 overall and 1-3 in the SCC.
Rio Hondo got contributions from all over the court. Hailey Hammond hit .312 for the match and connected for 7 kills while Maritza Flores added 5 kills.
Megan Liggins led all with 18 digs. Jayde Ruiz had a team-high 15 assists and Angel Luna totaled 12 assists and 7 digs. Osyris Roldan chipped in with 4 aces and 5 digs.
Rio Hondo is back in action next Wednesday (Oct. 30) when the Roadrunners host El Camino College in a 6 p.m. South Coast Conference match.
